About the Image(s)
Photographing flowers and nature is a niche which rests out of my comfort zone. However, it turns out to be fun and noticed that one starts appreciating more simpler things. It turns out that you are more in control of light and the environment. Editing entailed background removal and slight enhancement of colours using both Photoshop and Lightroom.

Nice flower image. Good exposure and depth of field. The center placement works well for flowers and the water drops add interest to the image. I might have tried to lighten the center somewhat to bring out a little more detail.   Posted: 04/10/2026 14:00:07

Hi Mark, it is beautiful - I especially like the droplets on the petals. I think that technically very well executed. The black background is effective but I think that also a softer hue one might work well?   Posted: 04/11/2026 05:49:05
Thanks for the comments Kirsti. Do you mean reducing the vibrance / saturation of the image?   Posted: 04/11/2026 06:56:44
Hi Mark, no, I would not touch the flower but maybe try some soft color instead of the black?   Posted: 04/11/2026 11:38:58
Very nice close-up of a flower. Everything looks sharp and the black background enhances the main subject. I especially like the purple tones radiating from the center. The drops on the petals are a bonus.   Posted: 04/13/2026 21:33:52
Nice sharp image of a flower, Mark. There is no mistaking your focus point. As you say, you control the environment, and you added the water dropplets. I get lost in looking at this flower. Well done.

Beautiful flower. Either the black background or a dark green would work too.   Posted: 04/15/2026 20:46:28
A nice image. I like the water drops on the pedals. As Bob has said, I agree a dark green background works well.   Posted: 04/17/2026 15:44:48
