About the Image(s)
From my trip to Tuscany last May. This was not one of my favorite images. The color version is okay, but since the sun is higher in the sky, the warm skies of the morning are almost gone. I thought it needed the contrast I could add to a B&W version. From a virtual copy in Lightroom, I turned it into monochrome and used the masking tools for the sky, road, fog, foreground and trees.
Taken with an iPhone at the equivalent of 24 mm.

I like this image. The color thumb nail reminds me of an old master (van gogh ??) and I want to see a swirling sky. B&W works well for this. You've captured a full range of tonal contrast. I'm torn between wanting to see more detail in the row of trees or being satisfied with the more graphic approach. Well done.   Posted: 12/15/2025 22:19:47
I like the composition, with the trees (and the road) bringing my eyes from the foreground to the fog and the horizon. Conversion to B&W improved the image a lot. Because of the wide angle, the trees are tilted to the center (as was the sign that you cloned out). Maybe you need to correct the perspective.   Posted: 12/15/2025 22:31:27
