The image was taken during a visit to a botany garden recently. This plant attracted my attention because of the swirling stem with the leaves radiating out. The red stem stands out distinctly among the green leaves but I feel that it may be a bit too much ( I mean visually), so I change it to monochrome and see if anybody likes it.

I like both versions, with a little lean towards the B&W version. I noticed that the image is not quite sharp, especially in the center. I applied Topaz Sharpen AI to the color version for you to see. It will probably yield better results to the original res image. I see that Adobe has added Topaz Sharpen and Denoise directly to Photoshop in the latest version, but without the same controls that are available in the paid-for plugin. Posted: 11/02/2025 17:09:53
