I like your point of view, which gives me a sense of the height of the bridge. Including the circular structure on the lower left is a plus. In a way, it balances the rock with the buildings on the right. You found a good contrast between the yellow of the train and the blue of the sky. I have one question. Did you try to use a slower shutter speed to get some movement in the train?   Posted: 05/05/2025 22:31:05
Mervyn, I can see myself on the bridge with the people, looking down from the heights. I especially enjoy the rhythm and the perfect balance in the composition: even the trains are just at the right spot, just entering (or leaving?) the city. That also makes the image very dynamic, even if the movement is not evident.   Posted: 05/06/2025 16:55:22
You chose not to include the river. Was it too far down so that the bridge would be too small, or because of not having a wide enough lens at the time?   Posted: 05/08/2025 20:51:27
I'm a little confused looking at this image. My problem is the steel across the bottom left corner. From your image, I don't see a way you could have shot this differently without losing the train. I would probably try the remove tool on that section. I think it would work well since there is only sky behind. I might also try to bring out the train a little, maybe open the shadows, as I see it as the main subject and it is dropping a little toward the background.   Posted: 05/09/2025 00:54:59
The river is very low down at this point and there were many distractions on the water. That's why I chose to concentrate on the metal structures of the bridge and provide a balance to the castle on the right.
There are pedestrians walking over the bridge as well, so the train has to move very slowly.   Posted: 05/10/2025 10:31:00
