About the Image(s)
Taken in Kenya this September. The acacia tree is similar to last months picture but a different location and time of day.

Great color. Sometimes the Mara images can be a flatish tan. I would like to have seen one or more of the animals looking toward the camera. Are those balloons in the background ? As I think I've said before, I feel the single tree is always an attractive subject. I would have tried if possible to get separation from the tree trunk and the other tree in the background.   Posted: 12/07/2024 21:00:24

Hi Mervyn! I love the golden light , too. I like the way you have captured the animals grazing round the lonely acacia tree, one of them closer to the camera.   Posted: 12/07/2024 22:13:12

Another great African landscape. When I was in Tanzania, I saw one balloon, but four? That one grazing in front really makes a difference in the composition.   Posted: 12/11/2024 23:15:52

I like the earth tones and the activity shown around the tree. The wildebeest in the foreground and the tree are prominent enough to be the dominant elements, with all the other animals complementing them. The zebras provide a nice break in the image. I would suggest getting rid of the hot air balloons: they are distracting and don't contribute anything to the photo.   Posted: 12/16/2024 17:13:26
