About the Image(s)

This image was taken in the Smoky Mountains. I used a topaz filter - simplify to create the painterly effect. I thought the sepia finish gave it an older feel.

The Topaz filter gives the image a soft early morning feel. Good composition and the leading lines work well as does the sepia finish.
Well done.   Posted: 07/12/2024 21:23:38

I agree with Angela. My only suggestion would be to make the flume slightly sharper which, in my mind, would aid in the leading line. Very nice image   Posted: 07/15/2024 10:28:16

I like the image as presented. I reminds me of the images I get with a pinhole camera.

I converted all of m cameras to reversable pinhole cameras. It's easy and cheap: drilled a small hole in the center of a body cap, size does not matter. glued a small piece of aluminum foil to cover the hole on the inside of the body cap. With a sewing needle I made a hole in the foil, exactly on the center of the body cap. To locate the center: measure the radius of the body cap; cut two pieces of sewing thread to that size; put both on the cap at the widest point at different angles; use anything convenient to hold them in place. They will meet at the exact center of the cap, so use the needle there. Remove the thread and make some test shots so you know the exposure settings. Mine is f200 with a 50mm focal length. Have fun.   Posted: 07/16/2024 21:30:28
