Ann Boylen and Friends by Peter Newman

July 2024 - Ann Boylen and Friends

About the Image(s)

About: The image is a composite of several fountains, shot at about 1/80 @ f13. In post: ACR adjusted exposure and contrast; converted to monochrome using a blue photo filter; selected a layer and distorted it by hand to get the curved body effect; then darkened the background. All comments welcomed.

Very unusual and I like the shapes you have made in the water. I can see faces in a couple at top of the fountain!!
Think I might have preferred a black background as eye keeps wandering to the tree on right side?   Posted: 07/12/2024 21:13:06

Thanks for your valid comment. My original title for this image was, "Ann Boylen and Friends Dancing on King Henry's Grave," but that title is too long. Please remember that the axe handle was made from a tree. ;-)   Posted: 07/13/2024 01:13:00

This is a fun image. I really like what you did with the curvature of the water. Like Angela, I would have preferred an all black background. BTW, I liked the other name better.:}   Posted: 07/15/2024 10:16:19
