About the Image(s)
I took this on my Canon R5 with 24-70mm lens. F/4, ISO 100, 1.3sec.
I placed my glass ball just inside a roll of corrugated cardboard. The lighting is from behind using a flash with a blue gel over the front. In photoshop I cropped in and cloned out the bright spot in center of the ball. I then "painted" the background with a color from the card to make the subject stand out a bit more.

A very interesting idea. I have a lens ball, I need to get it out and do some things with it. It looks like an eye almost.   Posted: 04/01/2025 22:30:24
Very cool and creative abstract! The lighting and strong contrast in tones give it a sleek, almost futuristic vibe. The composition draws the eye right to the center spiral, and the textures pop beautifully under that bold blue. It's not immediately clear what the object is-which just adds to the intrigue. Nicely done!   Posted: 04/02/2025 10:52:36
