I was recently at a workshop in the mountains of Colorado. This barn was one that we photographed. It was shot at f11, 1/80, ISO 125. It was finished with a painterly filter from Topaz.

That looks really cold and the blue emphasises this. The painterly effect really shows up in the mountains.I woner if you could bring out a bit more colour in the barn to make it stand out a bit more? Just my idea!! Posted: 02/06/2025 17:07:56

I like the painterly filter on the Background. Do you have the NIK Collection? If you wanted to bring out the details in the Barn more you could use Detail Extractor in Color Efex Pro. I too can feel the cold. Could you extend the Canvas on the right and bottom a bit? Posted: 02/14/2025 18:11:18
Great suggestions. I do not have NIK. I only use Topaz Studio, but they are no longer supporting studio 2. I am in the market for something new. Posted: 02/14/2025 19:10:32
