About the Image(s)
It’s a female, adult cheetah…the image was taken at a wildlife park near my home. I used a Canon R7 with a 100-500 lens, 1/500, f6.3, ISO 500. I processed it on Lightroom classic, cropped; significantly reduced exposure throughout to kill the background; radial gradient around the head to recover the exposure there, enhanced colour with yellow slider, increase exposure with radial gradient in eyes.

Great animal portrait. I think the crop has really worked well to emphasise the creatures eyes. The other processing has worked really well.   Posted: 08/05/2026 20:20:55

Very creative the way you handled the editing of this image - reducing the exposure to get rid of the background, skilled use of gradients, and enhanced color for the cheetah. Well done. She's beautiful.   Posted: 08/15/2026 00:48:38

This image is a "WOW"...all of your edits are spot on. Adding the yellow and bringing out the eyes allowed us to feel the intensity of this animal. How were you able to maintain the fine hairs around the head in post-processing?   Posted: 08/17/2026 00:10:08
Thank you Terry… I used the exposure slider on the whole image to darken…. Then I selected the cheetah and brightened it… all in Lightroom   Posted: 08/17/2026 09:36:32
