About the Image(s)

Taken with my IPhone 14 Pro Max, Focal Length 6.06 mm, Speed 1/120 sec., F/1.8, ISO 50. Post processing Photoshop Basic adjustments: increasing the blur and desaturating the background. Used Nic Color Flex to adjust colors and ON1 to remove grain. This was a difficult setting to photograph with lots of bright light in the street and the vendor in the shade under the canopy. I tried the image as a black and white with only the vendor in color but found it too difficult to select only the vendor. I do not often do street photography. Would the image be stronger as a pure black & white, or with isolating only the vendor in color? What do you think makes a strong street photograph?

Well spotted …..Would you consider a more severe crop.. the headscarves are well represented on the mannequins and the main focus is on the trader ?   Posted: 07/01/2026 10:30:18

Thank you Ger, your crop is much better than mine! I am concerned that the image may end up much more pixelated. Is there anyway I can increase pixels? I shot most of my images in RAW but failed to do so for this group of images.   Posted: 07/03/2026 19:03:14

I guess you're always going to have an issue when you heavily crop an iPhone image.   Posted: 07/03/2026 21:05:30

Great capture! I think Ger's crop has made it a stronger image but even so very well seen & shot.   Posted: 07/08/2026 13:33:25

Thanks Charles, I agree. The image is much improved by Ger's crop.   Posted: 07/09/2026 00:05:19

Nice shot. Good one for World in Focus section. Ger's cropping looks better. A little adjustment of haze and contrast can be tried. Well done.   Posted: 07/09/2026 17:39:55
