About the Image(s)
This was taken on 20th November 2025 & is of a 'Big Wheel' with Ely Cathedral in the background which I felt was an interesting juxtaposition of ancient & modern. The occasion was the annual Christmas craft fair.
Taken with an Olympus EM-1 mk3 @ 20mm, f5.6 at 3/10th second (handheld). 200 ISO - which I feel I should have increased!
The highlights and whites needed to be reduced & the shadows opened up. I also increased the clarity. I cropped to bring the wheel to the third and to remove the bright window on the right.

I agree. It is an interesting juxtaposition - the old and the new - and a good composition. The cathedral is beautiful. I would reduce the whites a bit more and increase the shadows (the cathedral) also.
If you crop out the cars in the lower left, then you could balance that by cropping out some of the right side to maintain your thirds, and some of the bottom, which isn't needed. My submission shows what I would do.   Posted: 12/05/2025 16:31:47

Thanks, I'll have another go at processing & cropping. I think I may have to remove the guy in the flourescent jacket on the left too!   Posted: 12/15/2025 21:20:09
