Image from a recent trip to Venice when the weather was overcast and wet, without a sunrise, I tried to combine the foreground lights with the distant outline of the church.

Ger, I to think the weather made this a very interesting image. I love the contrast between the foreground lights and the outline of the church. It is a strong composition however, if at all possible I would bring down the lights on the pier. They are a bit too blown out and some adjustment would take this image to the next level. Ger, I agree with Terry, a beautiful image of the church in overcast lighting, but I too would prefer less brightness in the lights of the foreground. Posted: 11/22/2025 13:24:10
