About the Image(s)
This image was shot on 03-11-2022 using Canon R5. I had a photo tour to the tribal areas of Orissa state in India. ISO-200, Shutter speed 1/80 sec, f/5, focal length 55mm. I didn't do any major photoshop correction, but a little curve adjustment and trimming the sides and top.
These are Bonda tribal people in their traditional dress. We were requesting to them to come to the nearby rice field for a photoshoot. I found their dog was following them everywhere they go. (Please see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonda_people for further details about the Tribe)

Love this. Makes me more jealous that in all of our years of travel we never got to India   Posted: 01/12/2025 20:11:46

No problem, if you are coming for Srilanka photogathering in February extend the visit and come to India. It is very close.   Posted: 01/12/2025 20:20:49

We had a trip all set to go and it was cancelled thanks to 9-11. At this stage, husband's 90 and I'm 87 I don't think it's a physical possibility. But I do keep dreaming.

The colors and the clarity of this image is outstanding. It is definitely a travel image and makes a person long to see and experience this place. I am wondering is isolating the tribal man on the left and making this into a portrait would have been a nice addition to what you have presented here.   Posted: 01/12/2025 22:38:41
