About the Image(s)

Another shot from my Vietnam trip this June. I visited a place where the basket boats are being prepared. Here the lady is applying waterproofing compound to the basket boat structure under the Sun. They apply 3 layers of the compound one after the other. Each layer takes about one-two days to dry. Finally they apply the colors outside.

The image was taken using Canon R5 camera with dual fish-eye lens. ISO-100, shutter speed 1/640sec, f/9, focal length 5mm. The left image is given here. The original image was converted to square image using the Canon VR utility software. Further processing was done in Photoshop. Cropped the image, adjusted the level and vibrance. Some visitors were using drones to shoot. There was one above the lady's head, which I removed in photoshop.

Hi Mohan,
I like the orginal version more taan the cropped one. Can you try some 3:4 ratio crop having some more sky in the picture   Posted: 12/10/2024 06:14:50

The crop is great. You eliminated the distractions and put the subject in the best position. I suggest you lighten the subject a bit more. The face is still too dark.   Posted: 12/14/2024 14:44:01

Most of the persons there were using large masks in their face. Even this lady was also using and even the eye was partly exposed. Hence I didn't lighten the subject more.   Posted: 12/17/2024 18:09:55

Interesting object! I agree with Joan. I understand, that sometimes it's not possible to lighten more.
