About the Image(s)
This image is so old that I don't have any information about the lens, exposure, etc. I do know it was taken with my old Rebel T2i camera with a kit lens. We were driving along some backroads along the New Mexico-Colorado border when we spotted these cows lounging in a field. I've always liked the way the birds were positioned along the back of this particular cow. It was handheld, so it's not the sharpest of all images, but I do think it's fun to look at. (And I've never been able to identify the type of birds.)

Why didn't I see that?? Your crop was perfect. Thanks.   Posted: 09/04/2023 17:05:14
A real nature shot, very peaceful. Like the crop Isaac did as the background didn't really add anything to the picture.   Posted: 09/02/2023 07:29:00
Mike, what a great idea to get lots of birds on a lay cow. I agree with what Isaac did. You don't need that much background for the birds and having the cow behind the grass puts the attention on the birds. Great photo for a digital dialogue group doing birds. Jim   Posted: 09/06/2023 11:13:28

What a cool shot! I think if you darkened the background and the grasses, and brightened the birds you will get the pic as you saw it in your eyes when taken. Love the many birds!   Posted: 09/10/2023 09:26:26
Very nice image showing the behavior of Cowbirds. They are always in flocks of large numbers. I would definitely go with Isaac's tight crop. Great idea!   Posted: 09/20/2023 09:29:08
