About the Image(s)
This is a Green Honeycreeper taken a long time ago when I was just starting to shoot birds. It is a common “bird on a stick” image but back in ’08 they were not as common as today. Anyway, it is still a pretty bird. Taken in Costa Rica. I had just purchased my first serious digital camera, a Canon 1D Mk III.
ISO 100, f5.6, 1/2500, 400mm

It's always fun to revisit old images and find treasures that rekindle the excitement from the original capture date. This is a beautiful bird, Bill - nicely exposed and well cropped. Although we all like drama and "story" in our images, this shot would make a nice reference illustration for an article about Honeycreepers.
