About the Image(s)
Swallow quarrel was taken in the wild from my vehicle. Nikon camera ,400 mm fixed focal 2.8 lens. ISO 400 f6.3 1/1000sec aperture priority and pattern metering. Camera and lens well supported with a Kirk window bracket and Wimberly arm
It was quite a challenging exercise to capture these tiny swift swallows as it was never sure from which side the male was coming.
This was all about collecting clay for nest building.

Gerhard, perfect timing at peak of action. Image very sharp and beautiful colors. I like as how the arriving bird frames the standing one with the wings. There is a halo around both birds consequence of over sharpening. I have used this method to correct them: https://www.capturelandscapes.com/how-to-quickly-fix-edge-halos-in-photoshop/   Posted: 12/07/2025 23:37:29
Thank you Isaac for your constructive comments. I was appalled by the over sharpening and how it has slipped through on the processing of the image and not seen by myself. ?   Posted: 12/09/2025 14:54:58
Nice capture. I have not yet been able to get a good shot of these guys. So far they are too fast for me. But I have not given up. I appreciate how difficult it is to shoot them. And two of them at one time interacting. Good work.   Posted: 12/09/2025 21:54:27
