About the Image(s)
Eastern Phoebe with Grasshopper: This image was taken in my backyard. This Phoebe perched on the flower basket hanger for sometime before it flew into catch the grasshopper. It came back to its perch to enjoy the catch. I cropped the original, reduced background noise, lightened the eye in Lightroom for this final image.

Ooh-ahh - right place, moment and settings - what a capture, Sarita! This is fabulous as submitted. Although I'm not able to die them on my phone right now, I have 2 very minor (nit-picky) suggestions for your consideration would be to darken the slightly lighter upper left background and darken the light reflection on the underside of the iron perch just behind and under the phoebe's feet. But this image is a crowd pleaser as it is!   Posted: 11/11/2025 21:06:55
Great shot and very sharp Sarita. Absolutely outstanding. Well done.   Posted: 11/17/2025 12:57:07
Great catch. Maybe not cropping so close so we can see all the hoppers feeler or cloning the end of it out. It running of the screen diverts my eye away from the action.   Posted: 11/17/2025 22:46:19
Absolutely wonderful.. nice click.. unnatural arc is distracting.. if it was tree branch, it would have added more value.. but that is the way it is.. sometimes beyond our control...   Posted: 11/18/2025 09:52:04
Sarita, great image, peak of action, very sharp and beautiful colors. The crop is too tight. If you cropped some of the real state, I would reconsider.   Posted: 11/19/2025 03:08:53
