About the Image(s)
Based on a Google image identification, I this is a white breasted nuthatch. I photographed it in Madera Canyon (Southern AZ), amongst what seemed to be a large-scale bird migration.
The shot was taken with a Canon 90D, using a Canon 100-400 L Series II lens at 400mm. Exposure was 1/1250 sec, f-8, at ISO 3200.

Jerry, this is another variety of birds that we do not see in South florida. It is a nice capture but it would not do good in a salon since it is hanging on a man made structure, and there should not be any evidence of man intervention to be a pure nature image. It has an interesting body position, ready to take off. I reduced the brightness and now you can see more detail and color in the feathers. Posted: 04/03/2025 00:44:24
