About the Image(s)
I just returned from photographing the warbler migration on the shore of Lake Erie early last May and decided to see if we had any migrating birds in a local wetland area not far from my house. I was rewarded with one quick shot of this male Rose-breasted Grosbeak (Pheuticus ludovicianus) before he flew further into the swamp. These lovely birds used to be fairly common here in my part of New Hampshire, but sadly not anymore, so I was pleased to have the opportunity to capture this image.
Cropped to make the bird stand out amongst the new spring-green leaves, and run through Topaz AI Noise.

Watch out for the white plumage and over exposure of it. It is slightly soft around the beak and head and suggest an aperture of f8 to ensure overall sharpness.   Posted: 03/19/2025 11:29:13
