Jerry, very good image of a BIF and sharp. Nice colors. The open beak adds interest to it. Nice sky and clouds contrasting with the crane's colors.   Posted: 02/07/2025 18:12:03
Jerry, I am amazed how sharp the image of the bird in flight is. And even the eye is razor sharp. This looks almost like a painting. Graceful indeed.   Posted: 02/09/2025 23:00:43

Very beautiful image of the Sandhill crane.
I spent an entire weekend photographing these birds in Alabama in January. It was really mesmerizing, I just didn't want to leave even though it was below freezing that weekend.   Posted: 02/21/2025 17:16:35

Wow Jerry - exceptionally sharp image at 1250 - did you use a tripod? Only one thing I will suggest for you to play with … try lifting your shadows - play a bit to unleash more texture and detail on the underside of this amazing capture.   Posted: 02/22/2025 05:21:15
Gloria, no - I didn't use a tripod. It's all I can do tracking birds in flight by free holding the camera! I save tripods for waterfalls, night skies, and flower close-ups.   Posted: 02/23/2025 02:54:45
