Good catch. Perhaps lighten the gull just a bit so we could see what it is carrying in its mouth?   Posted: 11/06/2024 20:36:54

I like the image very much Jerry, and I like the blurred background. The wings are so sharp. I agree with Leslie that one cannot distinguish what the gull is holding in his mouth.   Posted: 11/13/2024 17:54:26

Jerry, great bird image. The only images that do well in photo salons are those that show the bird doing something. Here it is in flight, with the added bonus that is carrying a fish tail in the beak. I added a little light to make it more obvious.   Posted: 11/14/2024 16:19:53

Isaac, I'm glad you lightened up the "catch of the day". I tried to identify the catch in the RAW file (lightening up the entire image) and still couldn't tell what it was. So, I left it dark. But I really like what you achieved in your edit!   Posted: 11/19/2024 20:40:37

Jerry, Really nice photograph of this gull in action. The light on the birds is perfect and I like the composition. I like that you showed the rocks, perhaps where the gull was before it took off. You even managed to capture the catch light in the gulls eye. I do agree with Isaac's lightening of the fish tail.   Posted: 11/14/2024 20:09:44

Great capture with the exposure on the white plumage very well handled and the image is sharp. Always nice to see action shots. Well done Jerry.   Posted: 11/19/2024 18:20:43

You captured this gull at the right moment of taking off from the rock. Very sharp with great detail. Nice blurring on the background. Well done.   Posted: 11/27/2024 01:44:48
