I took this "postcard shot" in 2024 during our camping trip to Sandusky, Ohio. We took a drive around Lake Erie in search of lighthouses and found this beauty in Marblehead Lighthouse State Park. It took several shots and a lot of patience to get the right angle with no tourists in the picture. I processed it just slightly in Lightroom - reduced Whites & Shadows, and increased Vibrance. Then I added the Frame and Stroke in Photoshop.
From the Ohio Department of Natural Resources website:
The Marblehead Lighthouse is one of Lake Erie's best known and most-photographed landmarks. It is the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on the Great Lakes. Visitors can climb to the top of the lighthouse during the summer season for spectacular views of the lake and its islands in the distance. History buffs will enjoy stopping by the replica lifesaving station with museum of US Coast Guard activities and visiting the gift shop.
Thanks for your feedback!

Greetings my friend...
Great capture and framing. Enlightened with the story. And there is nothing to be added. Thank you for sharing.
Cheers.

Thanks for your comments. It's interesting that several of you mentioned the "bright white." It had just been painted and it really was "bright white!"
However, when I submitted it for our local camera club critique, the one thing he mentioned was that I should tone down the white a bit.
I like my PSA Group's opinions better - LOL!!
Thanks!
