Paddy Processing- DDG 14 by Syed Shakhawat Kamal, APSA, PPSA

December 2024 - Paddy Processing- DDG 14

About the Image(s)

This image was taken on 26th November 2024, when I was flying from Dhaka to Brahmanbaria by helicopter. I am having a unique vantage point from where I see the world. The activity you see on the ground is traditional "Paddy Processing". After rice harvesting; this paddy processing event takes place throughout the country.

This mobile camera is very effective to use in different situations & environments. After the image is created it was post processed by Photoshop CS6 with some cropping & light adjustment to present as it was.

I hope you enjoy the image and any feedback is welcome.

Interesting viewpoint for sure. Unfortunately it's impossible for the uninitiated viewer to see what is going on down below. The field patterns are pleasing. You would have to zoom in if you wanted us to see the "paddy processing" details and I fear you don't have the resolution to do so.   Posted: 12/09/2024 20:09:57

Hello Kamal,

Another interesting glimpse into life in your country. I was able to zoom way in to see that there are, indeed, people there "processing" in the rice paddy. You have, amazingly captured some great texture from that distance with your mobile camera.

Great shot - thanks for sharing!

Hi Kamal. I love the overall composition of this shot with the patterns and texture of the fields framing the action in the middle. I also found it difficult to understand exactly what is taking place, so your description is essential for the viewer to appreciate the significance of the scene. I always enjoy the glimpses you share of life in your part of the world. Thanks!!   Posted: 12/20/2024 21:52:52
