About the Image(s)
Many famous persons including the TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLIDER from 11-11-1920 to represent all the losses for the British Empire during the Great War (First World War) and represents loss to this day and my hope is that someday a question a child will as a parent WHAT IS WAR like today's may ask what a PAY TELEPHONE IS.
As a photographer I selected upload a more art view from the ABBEY featuring someone from their Poets’ Corner with Laurence Olivier as this is a scan of a print I don’t really have details about it.
For those who are not familiar with Laurence Kerr Olivier, Baron Olivier, OM (22 May 1907 – 11 July 1989) was an English actor and director who, along with his contemporaries Ralph Richardson and John Gielgud, was one of a trio of male actors who dominated the British stage of the mid-20th century. He also worked in films throughout his career, playing more than fifty cinema roles. Late in his career he had considerable success in television roles.
