September 2023 - Rebecca at the Monument

About the Image(s)

Took this image of the tour leader Rebecca and once home converted this into sepia as showing a bit of age to the site.

While reading assignment topic for this month was Selective Focus so opened the full size image using the Canadian application Corel Paintshop Photo Pro and adjusted the depth of field 50% and highlighted just her face to be focus and the re-sized to 687 x 1000 px to met the requirements for the URL.

This is a really great image and perhaps your best one ever. The composition is very good and the use of selective focus really makes the tour leader pop. And the sepia filter is perfect.   Posted: 09/11/2023 17:29:56

A very good image and the selected focus, by use of the software, has been well handled. The sepia finish and the clothes that the woman is wearing give this a very period feel.   Posted: 09/14/2023 10:14:34

Hi Tim, wonderful image, nice isolation of the subject, well placed in the frame, the face is focus with good eye contact, the tonal palette is lovely, giving the image a historical feel.   Posted: 09/16/2023 05:43:17

A very interesting composition and technique, the colour tone is also matched in whole image. Nice.   Posted: 09/22/2023 02:47:19
