Tarty Tinkerbell by Steven Wharram, LRPS

December 2025 - Tarty Tinkerbell

About the Image(s)

This is ‘Tinks’ our tarty Tinkerbell. She only comes out for about 6 weeks a year preferring to hang around in her box with her other friends.

What I did:
As usual, I've kept any manipulation to a minimum
Cropped
Added a glow to give it an ethereal feel
Resized for this Group

Outstanding and would make a great illustration for a CHRISTMAS CARD in 2026 unless you have used this year.   Posted: 12/10/2025 02:24:49

Technically a tough shot. Christmas lights can be very glaring but you've done a nice job of softening them so the viewer's eyes stay on the subject.

I'd be interested to hear how you "added the glow".

I agree with Tim. A bright cheery scene that would make a nice holiday card.   Posted: 12/10/2025 14:10:44

You are too funny! I have a "cupcake bird" that my family makes fun of each year, too.
Nice framing of the subject in between the lights, and really good detail throughout.
