This was taken in front of the carrousel at the Brookfield Zoo in suburban Chicago during their "Holiday Magic" display.
Canon 7D; 2.5 sec.; f/18; ISO 250; 75mm
Steps taken for image:
1. Cropped and straightened.
2. Decreased highlights.
3. Used Topaz DeNoise and Sharpen.
4. Resized for PSA website.

Nicely done, Barbara. Photo gives a nice sense of place. Cudos for technique. A good choice of settings allows for balance of depth of field and color. It's not just a picture of the light sculpture but the scene draws you into a sense of community. I'm a little surprised you would need to de-noise at ISO 250 but have to assume you saw something needing it. Overall, great shot! Posted: 12/10/2025 14:02:33
