About the Image(s)
This was taken in northern Portugal on a sidewalk. It is the shell, symbol of St. James, that points the way to the road to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, a pilgrimage destination that has existed for over 1,000 years.

Very cute and the feet allows me the viewer a sense of scale for the titles and the sign.   Posted: 02/09/2025 20:54:09
I immediately recognised it as a shell but more to do with the petrol company 'Shell'. I like the inclusion of the feet, using the shell sign almost as a pointer.   Posted: 02/10/2025 13:51:52
Very interesting 'shell' sign also its the symbol of St. James. More interesting pilgrimage destination has existed 1000 years. Thank you for sharing.   Posted: 02/10/2025 18:59:57
Road sign on the floor is an interesting capture. I like the two feet in the image which can indicate the direction of the shell symbol.   Posted: 02/22/2025 06:38:58
Hi Barbara, very unique sign, thanks for the explanation, the 2 feet add context and the size of the shell symbol.   Posted: 02/23/2025 01:55:37
