Initially I had loads of ideas - old phones, old Compact Flash drives, PDAs etc. Yes I hardly throw anything away.
However as with the "Abandoned homes" theme in October. I have used this theme as an excuse to look back at the photos and places that we went to last May, as we drove Route 66 from LA to Chicago.
This cash machine at "Elmer's Bottle Tree" in California. It's an amazing place with hundreds of steel pipes with branches with different items as well like old guns, signs, car parts, furniture and much more.
What I did
- As usual, I've kept my manipulation to a minimum.
- Slight crop.
- Tweaked lighting as it a little bright.
- Resized for the Group.

No need to worry if the INTERNET goes down to use this and well captured and brings back memory of seeing them in service.   Posted: 12/09/2024 15:47:11

I've heard of this place, Steven, it sounds like someone can spend a day there just looking for unusual things. Nice positioning of the cash machine with the bottles on the right. Good depth of field, with the machine sharp and the bottles filling in the background.   Posted: 12/15/2024 04:29:20

It's a nice shot. Focus on this cash machine and background is blur. What a nice place to visit. Also what a funny so many water bottles on the background.   Posted: 12/18/2024 21:32:34

Jennifer. They are actually glass bottles. Old, used ones. It is a art structure in California.   Posted: 12/19/2024 09:59:29
