These bubbles of water on this Cleome flower were so heavy to lift they caused my brain to go crazy. My spine surgeon is trying to schedule an OR but some times my spine (over done) feels like this, and this is a good way to spend my time de-stressing
The original image was shot early 1 morning before wind and sunshine disturbed them. ISO 640 85mm Macro, F5.0 at 1/1000 sec. I can’t truthfully divulge my editing secret, but I’ll be interested in getting your thoughts and I will share my secret at the end of the month.

Hi Doug, thanks for your story and yes I think photography is very good for us to de-stress and just enjoy being outside.
This photo is unusual, and you manage to get so many waterdrops with crystal clear refraction in them, so you are going to have to share how you managed to do that.... usually I only get a few so clear.
The waterdrops with the beautiful refractions are absolutely the hero of the photo. The purple and green colours are a strong colour portfolio. To improve the photo I would just take the highlights in the backgrounds down a tiny bit more. You did an excellent job, Well done! Posted: 10/05/2026 12:25:01
