About the Image(s)
I took this image at one of the conceptual photography studios in Jakarta, Indonesia. We have several studios here that provide creative sets, professional lighting, and talented models specifically for photography enthusiasts. They offer a wide range of concepts like this, giving hobbyist photographers opportunities to explore more creative styles of photography. These studios have also become quite popular with visiting photographers, including some from Singapore.

Hi Frans -
This is just a fun, well-executed, and precisely post-processed image in a Frans style. (which is a compliment, by the way). This is such a captivating image, staged or not, the capture of the placement of her hair, the red tassels, and every drop of water, just seemed perfectly placed for a well-balanced composition. The swirl created by the water just makes it a fun and interesting photograph. Did you add blue in the water droplets or was it from the lighting? Subtle and effective touch to the image. Thanks for sharing :)   Posted: 10/04/2026 03:22:55

I've seen many hair-and-water toss images over the years, but this one is by far the most outstanding. The model's outfit, especially the red drape, the angle of the shot, the low-key background, and the beautiful water design all come together spectacularly. Absolutely stunningly captured!

Beautiful. I love how your shutter speed was able to capture the water swirling around her - and stopped it in mid-air.
This sounds picky, probably, but I would have liked a softer expression on her face -- or maybe just softened highlights and a little bit of blur. Other than that, this is beautiful. Exposure, color, Wow.   Posted: 10/06/2026 01:05:27

Really, Really nice Frans. Those studios in Indonesia do a great job. It's my abilities but I appreciate that you are able to present to us your work. The timing of lighting for the slow shutter of the hair and body water, and the crisp facial expression are magnificent. No suggestions as how to improve.   Posted: 10/08/2026 20:17:01
