About the Image(s)
This image was taken at Hagley Mills, the former DuPont gunpowder facility in Wilmington, DE. I photographed handheld with my Nikon D750 plus Nikon 24-120mm lens at 34mm, f/14, 1/30 sec, ISO500, and 1 stop under meter reading. In LR, I adjusted exposure, vibrance, clarity, shadows, and highlights. In PS, I cropped into the image and added a vignette.

A gorgeous, richly coloured scene Mark. The contrast of red and bright greens along with the reflections, the bridge and the old building all contribute to an image that the viewer can study and enjoy. It's nicely edited too and the subtle vignette draws the eye right in.   Posted: 11/12/2025 00:43:04
Hi Mark. This is a beautiful scene and enhanced by shooting in full bloom and green grasses. I don't see you having many options for composing. It seems that you did pick an overcast day or at least with the sun behind clouds. I like to shoot when sun is not out creating lots of shadows. One idea that I like to try, is to select the sky that is showing thru holes in the leaves and then adjust that color to make it darker.   Posted: 11/15/2025 00:44:26
Mark, This is lovely. The colors are so lush. I love how the flowers frame the image and the reflections really add to the scene. I do agree with Doug, that cropping a bit from the top might put more emphasis on the building and reflections.
Well done !!

Mark, very nice image. I like the crop as it creates a tighter view. There is lots of green so the red stands out and with the crop you are drawn closer to the building.   Posted: 11/19/2025 13:57:46
