About the Image(s)
This image was taken late afternoon, June 27 at Indian River State Park in Delaware. The pavilion was captured with a Nikon D3100 which was recently converted to a full spectrum infrared camera. ISO 400, f/5.0 with a Nikkor 18-70mm lens. Post processing was in Luminar Neo where the sky was also replaced.

Nice image. Any more it is hard to tell what is actual and what is computer generated. The trees in back on the right side are really ugly,   Posted: 07/12/2025 16:23:09
I think this is a really cool image, Pete ! Orange is my favorite color and the way in which you took this picture really gave it an interesting perspective. It looks like a snowy area with a sky that had something explode in it - or a lot of smoke which created the orange sky (this happens right here, in California!).
In any case, I really like it.
I would straighten out your horizon line. That's the only thing I would do, because the gazebo looks to leaning right.   Posted: 07/12/2025 18:30:56

Thanks for your comments. I am glad that you like the
image. Infrared can create some amazing effects.
It should be noted that nothing in the image was computer generated.   Posted: 07/12/2025 18:35:00

So you said that the sky was computer generated or yeah Sky replacement. Isn't that ai?   Posted: 07/13/2025 08:14:20
The sky is an image that I took. It is not AI. I just placed it in the image.   Posted: 07/13/2025 10:45:44
A clever image Peter and I bet you had fun making it. I like the contrast between the grey/browns of the foreground and the orange skies of the background.
Perhaps you could consider removing some of the small distractions (tufts of grass, small gazebo background left) and definitely consider straightening the large gazebo.
It must be fun playing with your infrared camera. Keep going with it.

Thanks Meredith. Did a little starightening with the large gazebo. I am having fun with IR.   Posted: 07/15/2025 12:49:24
This is a compelling combination of IR and sky replacement to create an unusual vision! The orange of the background sky contrasts with the smoky whites and grays of the IR foreground to yield a surreal image. And the absence of people in the scene further adds to the mystery.   Posted: 07/25/2025 21:55:32
