About the Image(s)
"This flower image was taken whilst on a morning walk in my local neighbourhood. I'm not sure of its type - think it may be South African - but many of my local gardens (southern Australia) have these in varying sizes and colours. They are certainly striking to look at and I tried to capture the colour against a solid background so that the viewer could appreciate the beauty of it too."
Fujifilm X-T30ii 18-55mm @ 44.4, ISO 800, f16, 1/20 sec hand held
In Lightroom I darkened the background a little and cropped."

Hi Meredith, I LOVE this flower, how fascinating. I've never seen anything like it. I think your exposure is really good and you captured a great deal of detail. I'd love to see this flower in person ! I can't stop looking at all the details, the red parts look like ribbon on white cotton tufts. Superb !
The only change I would make would be to darken the upper right corner of the image - and maybe just darken the green leaves a bit with an adjustment layer. Other than that, spectacular !!
Happy Holiday Season !

Meredith, the detail is amazing!! The flower has fantastic colors especially the whites where your detail shows the true beauty of the image. I might darken the outside of the image, maybe a very faint vignette, as my eye is drawn in that direction.   Posted: 12/14/2024 17:29:13

Stunning. I would be good to either darken the upper right or lighten the background a bit so just a little more shows.   Posted: 12/18/2024 02:09:50
