About the Image(s)
We sailed up the Hudson returning on a transatlantic cruise in 2023. Here is one skyline view I took. Fuji X-T20, 18-300, 1/210, f8, 32mm 400 ISO. Adjusted in LR. Note the Intrepid flight deck in the foreground.

Hi Rich,
I love New York skylines and you really captured great reflections and colors in the buildings. I know you probably loved that Intrepid flight deck in the foreground, but to me it just added too much to the image -- too much to look at, too cluttered.
Also the sky -- was it a sky replacement? It doesn't look like it belongs. I could be way off here. I haven't been to that spot where you took the image.
Well -- you guessed it -- I just had to play with this picture. I selected the airplanes and used generative fill to create a waterfront without all the (to me) distracting flight deck. For shame !! And then I put in a different sky.
I love to play with other peoples' images and I just wanted to simplify yours. Here's what I came up with. Please forgive if you hate what I did. Have a great new year.   Posted: 12/12/2024 02:44:18

Taking out the Intrepid and its aircraft is a minor change to the image and the environment at that location.   Posted: 12/16/2024 04:27:03

I like your image Rich especially the light reflecting in the building windows as the sun set. The buildings are the star of this image and I like what Donna did to replace the planes with waterfront in shadow so the tall buildings are the definite point of focus.   Posted: 12/15/2024 06:48:45

Hi, Rich. Your picture brings back so many fond memories of when I use to visit my son in NYC. They use to live on 42th next to the Hudson and early Saturday mornings I would see the cruise ships on the Hudson. I like your picture. You captured NYC! I also like Donna's editing.   Posted: 12/16/2024 00:52:46

Nice skyline. I would take out the radar thing (or whatever it is) sticking up into the buildings. I would like to see what it looks like with the ship brightened, so you see what it is better.   Posted: 12/18/2024 02:03:10

Rich, Nice image and I would crop the aircraft out as it provides a much cleaner look.   Posted: 12/21/2024 15:26:55
