About the Image(s)
This is from our May trip to Tasmania, Australia. Its taken from My Wellington (Hobart) looking inland and the hazy atmosphere was due to bushfires locally. I liked the layers that the haze helped create. Processing was to convert the image to black and white, then use the color grading in Adobe Camera Raw to make all the tones sunset yellow.

Mark hi!
Beautiful photo! It came out in a retro sepia style. The density of the air is very beautifully emphasized! It could print in large size as a painting to decorate a room :-)

Mark, seeing the original makes me appreciate your processing even more. The warm toning simplifies the foreground and really emphasizes those beautiful layers created by the haze. I might open the darkest foreground shadows just slightly to retain a little more detail, but not enough to compete with the distant mountains. I really like the mood you created.   Posted: 10/02/2026 01:23:54
