This image was taken with my drone during my recent trip to Ireland. The cows were definitely making themselves at home!
Details: DJI MiniPro 5, f/1.8, 1/250, ISO100.
Processing - added clarity and contrast, desaturated colours slightly, cropped, removed the path and some of the cows (particularly any that were right on the edge of the frame).

I don't have much experience critiquing drone photography, so I may not be the best person to evaluate this image. I do appreciate the overhead view, which clearly documents the ruins. My only suggestion would be to consider flying a bit lower or at a slight angle to create more depth and visual interest. The clarity also appears a little strong for my taste, but overall it effectively records the scene. Posted: 08/01/2026 01:42:47

Hi Suzanne you are a lot braver than me being up for drone photography and all the additional gear needed, and not being paranoid about crashing it!
I think you have generated a record style shot (ignoring the cloning) which shows us the floor plan of the abbey and arguably the edits restore it to how it might have been prior to the mixed agricultural and tourism purposes. The POV emphasizes a 2D aspect of the building. I don't really have any suggestions as to further edits. Posted: 08/03/2026 00:45:11

Suzanne, I'm jealous of your DJI Mini 5 Pro. I have the Mini 4 Pro and haven't upgraded since the difference didn't seem (to me) to be worth the cost. I'm definitely NOT a drone expert, but I find them fascinating... and fun.
Your image is an excellent capture and really shows the floorplan nicely! I also like your post-processing. You brought out the contrast without overly saturating the greens. Well done. If you get the opportunity, you might try a lower shot that's a bit off to the side. That would give it more of a 3D feeling.
