About the Image(s)
This geranium was photographed in my garage using a Flashpoint XPLOR 400 Pro II R2 for a key light and Nikon SB600 and SB800 for fill and background lighting. This was also photostacked using 10 images. Post-processing was done with PS and Topaz Photo AI to DeNoise and sharpen.
Multiple Exposures: 1/250 sec @ f/16 ISO: 200
Camera: Nikon Z8 with Venus Laowa 55mm tilt/shift lens

The focus stacking and lighting beautifully showcase the delicate details of the blooms, and the dark background makes the flowers pop. My only suggestion would be to slightly tone down the bright highlights on a few petals and consider cropping or darkening the partially cut-off blooms on the right so they don't compete with the main cluster (here is my suggestions). Overall, a very elegant floral portrait   Posted: 07/06/2026 01:41:54
A lovely floral arrangement and the water droplets are pin sharp. I agree with Sophia's suggestions. Also, there's a little drop off in sharpness at the very top but I'm not sure if that might be more to do with your masking? The colours really pop.   Posted: 07/06/2026 04:09:49
Hi Richard. This is a very attractive study of a relatively ordinary flower…not the typical hero's such as roses or orchids. I am a bit torn over the composition. There is a round dominant part, then a very subsidiary right hand group and subordinate leaves. I would be inclined to remove them and I think there is enough separation to enable cloning from the background on the other side. Then you could have a square crop   Posted: 07/10/2026 04:35:56
