About the Image(s)
This photo was taken during my trip to the 3rd PSA Gathering in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where I was drawn to the contrast of “old meets new.” The Buddha statues belong to Seema Malaka, the serene “floating temple” on Beira Lake, originally built in the 19th century and redesigned in the 1970s by famed architect Geoffrey Bawa as a peaceful meditation sanctuary. Behind it rises the Altair Twin Tower, a 68-story landmark completed in 2021 and designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie, featuring its striking 63? leaning tower that symbolizes modern innovation and Colombo’s rapid growth. I captured this scene with my iPhone 14 Pro Max (1/6400, ISO 100, f/1.8) and edited it in Lightroom, and I’m considering submitting it to an architecture competition??”any suggestions for improvement are welcome!
