I attended the PSA Festival in Portland, Oregon this year ??“ returning home yesterday after an overnight flight. For me, one of the highlights was driving with my wife to the West Coast, in the vicinity of Cannon Beach. It’s an amazingly beautiful area. I took this image from a location not far from the parking lot.
Post-processing included minor cropping, adding a bit of contrast, and introducing an evening glow of light from the top right corner of the image. All processing was done with Camera Raw.
Data: Hasselblad X2D II with 75mm lens (equivalent to 59mm on a full-frame camera); 1/2000 sec; f/13.0; ISO 1600

Thank you, Karen. It was an interesting area. The Japanese Guardens were also beautiful.

Excellent photo. I wish I had gone. Maybe next year.The only change that I recommend is to remove or darken the dead tree up on the hill and darken the rock on the right close to water. Posted: 10/02/2025 03:20:46
Great shoreline photo. I really like how the light is falling on the beach area and the forest behind it. I thought the overall image could use a boost in contrast. I used Luminar NEO's "Easy Landscape Collection - Clean Light" preset. Is it too much? Posted: 10/08/2025 21:26:21
