The image captured a striking portrait of a person with two different eye colors??”one a deep, rich red and the other an icy blue. At first glance, the contrast was mesmerizing, evoking a sense of mystery and intrigue. The effect was so natural that it seemed like a rare genetic trait, but in reality, it was cleverly achieved with a single colored contact lens. This subtle manipulation transformed the subject’s gaze, turning an ordinary portrait into a visually compelling and almost surreal piece of art. Photo taken this past Saturday during the Beaufort Chalk Festival.

Really striking portrait-the different eye colors totally pull you in and give it a cool, almost cinematic vibe. The close crop works great, keeping all the focus on the eyes. I think the black and white mask was a great call-it doesn't compete and actually makes the eyes stand out even more.
