About the Image(s)

Taken at 200 mm at 1/250 f/5.6 ISO 10 000. Initially processed in DXO Pure Raw to remove noise. Then taken into Photoshop, cropped then lightened the squirrel and darkened the background. Finally I removed the odd twig.

Hi David, what a fun photo.. Love the expression and the photo tells a story.. love the catch light on the eye... Suggestions on making it a better photo is to darken the tree around the squirrel and tone down the white on the chest   Posted: 02/03/2025 02:25:31

Wow David this is gorgeous. Its a subject where you really appreciate the pin sharp capture showing us the detail in its fur. I feel I can touch it. Beautiful.   Posted: 02/03/2025 02:37:41

To some, squirrels are just pests, but for me, they are entertainment for our two indoor cats. You made a great capture; the squirrel is well-lit and in focus. Cropping and post-processing are well done.   Posted: 02/04/2025 20:39:09

Now that is a good looking squirrel. Nice job on highlighting the main subject. Your finished image is great.   Posted: 02/06/2025 15:29:15

David, when I look at your image, I see a cute squirrel sitting in a baby carriage. It's wonderful! Although I agree with Sophia that you might slightly darken (and add detail) to the squirrel's bright chest, I think the surrounding tree is perfectly handled. Nicely done!

David, this is such a charming capture! The squirrel's expression is delightful, and the framing within the tree adds a wonderful sense of storytelling. The detail in the fur is fantastic, and the lighting on the subject is well-handled.

I agree with Sophia's suggestion about slightly toning down the brightness on the squirrel's chest to maintain detail. The surrounding tree works well in framing the subject, so I wouldn't change much there. Beautiful work!   Posted: 02/09/2025 13:55:28
