This image was taken during an annual celebration of the Chisholm Trail in Central Texas. The original was cropped in LRC with Auto setting applied. It was then edited in Silver Efex Pro 2. Final editing was in PS (beta) to burn-in the outer edges of the image.

Great image Richard. I like the monochrome treatment which intensifies the vintage vibe. I thought a cropping option was to zoom in more on the three men by cropping off the roof and sides of the hut   Posted: 01/07/2025 23:08:18

OK, if I had not seen the original, I would swear that this was an image from the 1800's. The cropping is just right. It provides location context with the other cabin on the left. The only suggestion that I have is I would remove the three plaques on the left side of the cabin. They distract from the impact of the time period this photo portrays. Wonderful image and processing. I think David's toning and cropping make it even better. Just to see how it might look, I added a bit of texture to David's final (i.e., cropped) version. Your thoughts?
