November 2024 - I am coming

About the Image(s)

I am not able to post the original since I am traveling. The only changes at made is crop and put through denoise. Photo taken in South Africa April 7th 2024 during a Photography workshop/Safari I watched these two toucans follow each other and was able to capture them at the perfect moment. I believe that if I had used an F11 I would have the 2nd bird at a better focus. I love the way the 1st bird is looking at the bird that it is trying to land.

I do really love the way your images tell a story. Suddenly he realizes we have a problem! Where to land? There is a genuine look of alarm there.

My only thought about edits is maybe crop a little off the lhs. Leave a third of the image as negative space.

Congratulations on such a great capture!   Posted: 11/05/2024 08:18:53

This is another of your great nature photos Sophia. My only suggestions are to crop a little from the left and top. You could also put it through Topaz Sharpen AI to try to increase the sharpness of the second bird.   Posted: 11/12/2024 11:48:25

This is such a dynamic and well-timed capture! I love the interaction between the two birds; it really tells a story, with one bird seemingly unbothered while the other comes in for a landing. The clarity and detail in the feathers and beaks are impressive, and the background provides a nice, soft contrast that keeps the focus on the subjects. One small suggestion would be to consider cropping a little on the left side to reduce the negative space and bring even more attention to the birds. Fantastic shot-congratulations!   Posted: 11/12/2024 17:17:52

Sophia, very nice. The exposure, very sharp detail, and soft background work great together. Congratulations. I must confess that I am a little jealous. I have tried bird photography, but my timing is always off. Your timing is excellent. I agree with David's cropping suggestion. It enhances an already great image.   Posted: 11/13/2024 15:25:47
