About the Image(s)

I tried to accentuate the texture and at the same time warm the image portraying a progression from the green of spring to the red of autumn and finally the texture of winter representing the stages of life and the colors found in the forest.
The adjustments were all done in Lightroom using the ACR tools. Texture, Clarity, Saturation, Vibrancy, Shadows, Dehaze, Blacks, and Tone.

Camera: Sony 7R

Hi Victor, Great job in crop and post processing. I love trees but I have a hard time photographing .. You are showing me a different way to capture what I see and like. The only change I have is maybe consider in toning down the green. It is pulling my eye there first vs the fall colors. Also, maybe bring out the yellow in the vine especially on the top so it is not uniform color.. what do you think?   Posted: 11/04/2024 16:31:12

Hey Victor, I like your conceptual approach to your work which provides an added challenge for us! I can see three seasons but not winter now the cool tones in the original have been warmed. Maybe you could work in winter by selecting the area on the lhs for warming up leaving the rhs of the trunk with the original cool tones. As though the light is coming from the left.   Posted: 11/05/2024 08:40:18

Well done for capturing the original image. Most of us would have walked past it. For me your processing is a little over the top and for my taste I would reduce the vibrance a little.   Posted: 11/12/2024 11:37:02

I love how you've captured the intricate textures of the tree bark, which adds a strong sense of depth and age to the image. The vibrant red leaves against the muted tones of the bark provide a beautiful contrast, giving the composition a lively touch that feels like a subtle nod to the changing seasons. I often find trees tricky to photograph in such a compelling way, so you're really showing me a new perspective here.   Posted: 11/12/2024 17:14:48
