About the Image(s)

This image was taken during an available light portrait workshop. In PS, I cropped in on the right side; next, I selected and darkened the BG then dodged the model's face.
Exposure: 1/125 @ f/4 ISO 500

This is a striking image. I like the choice of background creating strong a complementary palette and the backlighting catching her hair. Its a relaxed casual pose. I think I would lift her face just a little.   Posted: 11/01/2024 21:55:15

Richard, I agree with Mark it is a striking image. She a beauty and if it was my image I would crop it tighter .. the way she has lifted her one leg her toes are hidden by the grass and it looks like it is cut off.. I also don't like how her pants are featuring her body below her waist. She has a magnificent face/smile and the lighting is perfect .. what do you think of my crop?   Posted: 11/04/2024 16:23:29

What a great image. I love her pose and the fact that she is not looking at the camera. The tree on the RHS adds to the image. I would lift her face and clothes a little and darken the highlights in the background. I would also crop a little from the top of the image. I prefer the full length image rather than Sophia's crop.   Posted: 11/12/2024 10:49:43

Great job with the texture and detail in this shot! I love trees but often find it tricky to capture them in such a compelling way-you're really showing me a new perspective here. The contrast between the vibrant leaves and the rugged bark is wonderful.   Posted: 11/12/2024 17:21:28

Richard, well done. The catch light is perfectly exposed. Nice work on dodging the models face. It matches the rest of her skill very well. The trees in the background are the way I would see them in an impressionist painting. What lens did you use? I like the way you cropped the image, leaving the space at the top. It added a sense of spaciousness and airiness to the image. I would think that the model would be very happy to display this image in her home.   Posted: 11/13/2024 15:38:29
