August 2026 - Colorful Colorado

About the Image(s)

I went back through my files and reprocessed an older image from our trip to Colorado.

This panorama was created from eight vertical RAW images photographed with my Canon 7D. I stitched the frames together in Photoshop, then used Generative Fill sparingly to complete a few areas where needed. Throughout the processing, I was careful to preserve detail in the bright clouds and avoid blown highlights.

For the finishing touches, I sharpened the image using Topaz Sharpen AI, now available within Photoshop, added a subtle vignette to gently darken the edges, and finished it with a thin border.

Bill, I really love the balance of this picture left to right and top to bottom. Images with four good layers are anlmost always outstanding and yield great depth for the viewers's eyes. The brush in the foreground, the pines the mountains and the sky all play a key part. Very nice image.   Posted: 08/03/2026 23:45:55

I concur with Gary, your image is well balanced, tack sharp, offering a good sky and perfect DOF. Your creative knowledge of P.S. and other software have created some beautiful images through the years.   Posted: 08/04/2026 01:33:45

Hi Bill
Superb landscape, using the multi images gives such a sense of depth and size to the whole vista, the greens and yellows of the foreground sit so well with the deep blue of the sky this image
portrays haw a top class landscape image should look and be presented.   Posted: 08/05/2026 10:51:09

Bill, I love the sweep of the trees to take you into the image, and the bright sky & clouds to top off the mountains. I particularly like the way the main cloud seems to fit with the shape of the mountain. Sometimes it can be difficult to do justice to a grand landscape but here you have achieved that. Well done!   Posted: 08/08/2026 16:00:49
