Was created at The Florida Aquarium in Tampa. This is an exhibit of young alligators in a large tank with glass wall which allows this vantage point. Image through the glass with a Nikon Z8 with the Nikkor zoom lens Z 24-200 f/4-6.3 @ 145 mm and these settings: ISO 14400, f/8 and 1/200 sec.
The image was PP in Lightroom with Denoise, masking brushes and cropped.

Your subject is well placed between the water and air. Perfectly spaced on your canvas, good body definition offering strong textures.

You did well shooting through the glass. The young alligator has a little coy smile. Good textures and everything is sharp. No noise even at 14,400.   Posted: 12/09/2025 03:57:05

Good shot Isaac, and very detailed. By shooting straight on to the tank you have avoided any distortion from refraction in the water. Excellent sharpness and lack of 'grain' considering the high ISO.   Posted: 12/16/2025 16:18:13
